Best of Nepal Tour

Overview And Highlights

The Best of Nepal Tour is a fantastic travel package that takes you to Nepal's top three tourist spots: Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara, and Chitwan. This tour is perfect for people of all ages and can be booked any time of the year. The Best of Nepal 10 Days Tour is ideal for a family vacation, including the elderly and kids, as it is a relaxed trip that doesn't require a lot of physical effort. You'll travel comfortably by road in a tourist vehicle and only walk short distances.

Nepal is famous for its Himalayas and mountain adventures like trekking and climbing. However, there is much more to see in this small Himalayan country, which is rich in natural and cultural heritage.

During your 10-day tour in Nepal, you'll visit beautiful Hindu temples and Buddhist stupas that offer peace in the busy city. You will also explore natural spots like rivers, lakes, hilltops, and a national park, where you can see unique plants and animals native to Nepal. Additionally, you'll learn about Nepal's proud history, as it has never been colonized by any other country.

What makes the Best of Nepal 10 Days Tour even more special is the friendly and welcoming nature of the Nepalese people. While not everyone may speak English, they will always greet you with a smile and a "Namaste."

Let's find out more about the places you will visit during your 10 Days Nepal Tour.

Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu Valley includes three districts: Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur. The capital city, Kathmandu, is in this valley. During the Best of Nepal Tour, you'll visit major attractions, both religious and historical. You'll start at the important Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, then visit the famous Buddhist sites of Bouddhanath and Syambhunath in Kathmandu, and finally explore Patan Durbar Square in Lalitpur.

On the last day of the tour, you'll head to the ancient city of Bhaktapur to see Bhaktapur Durbar Square and nearby sites like Nyatapol, Pottery Square, and Shidha Pokhari. Both Durbar Squares have historical significance, offering insights into Nepalese history and a great atmosphere for spending some quality time.

Pokhara

Pokhara is the second stop on our Best of Nepal 10 Days Tour. It is loved by travelers for its natural beauty and being less crowded than Kathmandu. You will enjoy boating on the beautiful Phewa Lake, exploring natural caves, seeing pristine waterfalls, watching the sunrise from Sarangkot, and hiking to the hilltop of Naudanda for stunning views of Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Machhapuchre.

A visit to Tal Barahi Temple in the middle of Phewa Lake and the World Peace Pagoda on a hill adds a spiritual touch to your Pokhara tour. This lovely lake city also has many great cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs, and clubs to enjoy in the evening.

Chitwan National Park

Chitwan National Park, established in 1973, is Nepal's first national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located in the subtropical lowlands of south-central Nepal, it is home to the rare One-horned Rhinoceros. Tourists mainly come to see the Rhinos, but the park also has many other animals and birds like the Bengal Tiger, Clouded Leopard, elephants, crocodiles, deer, and various bird species.

In Chitwan, you'll go on a Jeep Safari through the forest, ride an elephant, canoe on the river, take a jungle walk, watch birds, visit the Elephant Breeding Center, and tour a local Tharu village. You will also enjoy a Tharu cultural stick-dance performance while having a delicious Nepali dinner.

Best Time for the Best of Nepal Tour

You can book the 10 Days Best of Nepal Tour any time of the year. However, to ensure a smooth trip, it's best to avoid the summer/monsoon months of May, June, July, and August.

Chitwan, in the lower Terai region, gets very hot in the summer, with temperatures reaching up to 40 degrees Celsius. Pokhara experiences the most rainfall in Nepal, with over 3900 millimeters of rain annually. If you visit Pokhara during the monsoon, you might encounter continuous rain for weeks.

The best time to plan your 10 Days Best of Nepal Tour is from October to March when the weather is more pleasant and stable.

We offer both private and group tours for the Best of Nepal Tour package. Choose your dates and book your tour. For any questions, feel free to contact us at Chandika Travels. We can also arrange a customized trip just for you.

On your last day of the "Best of Nepal – 10 Days Tour," we make the most of it by taking you on a day trip to Bhaktapur. The main attractions in Bhaktapur are Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Nyatapol, Pottery Square, Siddha Pokhari, and Rani Pokhari.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square is famous for its rich historical features, including heritage monuments that tell the stories of this ancient kingdom. During the unification of Nepal, King Prithvi Narayan Shah attacked Bhaktapur Durbar, and you can still see bullet holes on the palace walls. King Prithvi eventually united Nepal, bringing together the always-at-war feudal states under one rule.

After exploring the history of Bhaktapur, we will drive you back to your hotel. Don't forget to try Ju Ju Dhau, a traditional Newari sweetened yogurt, while you're in Bhaktapur. We invite you to a farewell dinner on your last evening in Nepal. Let's celebrate the beauty of Nepal together.
